Artist: Stornoway
Song: “Tumbling Bay”
Album: You Don’t Know Anything
“‘Tumbling Bay’ is named after an old swimming area built into a tributary of the Thames River here in Oxford, set in the late summer, hence the blackberry references,” Brian Briggs tells Rolling Stone. “It is about discovering you have been the subject of someone else’s affections, but not wanting to return them. The bird songs and other suburban sounds were recorded one sunny evening in East Oxford by holding a microphone out of our garage door.”
